An extraordinary opportunity for a proactive, detail driven Assistant Maintenance Manager to help uphold the highest standards of safety, reliability and presentation, across a landmark new hotel at the heart of Manchester's Etihad Campus - home to Manchester City Football Club.
The Medlock, a Radisson Blu hotel is a brand-new 401-key hotel is set to be a game-changer in hospitality, seamlessly integrating with one of the most prestigious entertainment and sporting destinations globally.
The next evolution of the Etihad Campus will see it become a thriving sports and entertainment district, featuring state-of-the-art training facilities, a world class 60,000 seater stadium, and vibrant leisure spaces including the Co-op Live arena. It will become a world-class hub for elite sport, music, and entertainment, attracting visitors from around the world.
At the centre of this energy, sits The Medlock Hotel; a place designed to welcome guests, teams and fans with elevated comfort, considered design and warm intuitive service.
What you'll be doing:
As an Assistant Maintenance Manager, you'll be a key leader within the hotel's Maintenance Team - supporting the Chief Engineer, Hotel Manager and General Manager to ensure every guest enjoys a seamless stay in an impeccably maintained environment.
You'll help oversee all property systems, planned and reactive maintenance, contractor management and compliance. From public areas and external surroundings to individual guest rooms and suites, you'll uphold the highest standards of safety, functionality and presentation.
You'll balance forward thinking project work, daily operational needs and regular audits - guiding your team to create a consistently exceptional hotel environment.
We operate 365 days a year, so maintenance coverage must match the rhythm of the hotel. Our team works a variety of shifts, offering genuine flexibility where needed. Shift patterns and contracted hours can be discussed at interview.

About you:
You have proven hotel maintenance experience, ideally within an upscale or lifestyle environment
You bring a meticulous, proactive and solutions focused approach to every task
You have a clear understanding of compliance, safety standards and know the importance of robust building systems
You are confident in leading a team and building strong relationships across all departments
You thrive in a fast paced, high-profile environment where teamwork and communication are essential
Prior experience in a hotel pre-opening is desirable, or you are energised by the challenge and eager to learn
