If you enjoy working in a fast-paced hospitality environment, take pride in the details and love being part of a team, we’d love to hear from you!
As a Conference & Events Porter, you’ll play an essential role in ensuring our meetings, conferences and events run smoothly. What will you be doing?
No two days will be the same! Your responsibilities will include:
Preparing event spaces: Setting up Conference and Banqueting rooms in line with client requirements and hotel standards, ensuring every space is ready for the event.
Supporting the events team: Working closely with colleagues to ensure meetings, conferences and banqueting events run smoothly and efficiently.
Maintaining high standards: Cleaning, resetting and replenishing rooms between meetings and events, ensuring all areas are presented to the highest standard.
Looking after our Conference Café: Keeping the café clean, tidy and welcoming for guests throughout the day.
Handling equipment: Assisting with the safe movement, positioning and storage of furniture and event equipment.
Keeping things organised: Ensuring storage areas are clean, tidy and safe, and completing end-of-shift close-down procedures.
Delivering excellent customer service: Providing friendly and professional assistance to guests and clients, helping to make every visit a positive experience.
Working across the hotel: Supporting other departments when required and working together to deliver the best possible guest experience.
Working safely: Following health and safety, food hygiene, security and fire safety procedures at all times.
You’ll also help ensure waste is disposed of correctly, maintain a professional appearance in line with our uniform standards and attend training to develop your skills and knowledge.
What are we looking for?
We’re looking for someone who:
Has a positive attitude and a genuine passion for delivering excellent customer service.
Is friendly, approachable and professional when interacting with guests and colleagues.
Takes pride in their work and has a good eye for detail.
Enjoys practical, hands-on work and is happy to get involved wherever needed.
Works well as part of a team and is willing to support colleagues across the hotel.
Is reliable, organised and able to work in a busy environment.
Understands the importance of cleanliness, safety and maintaining high standards.
Is flexible and willing to adapt to the changing needs of the business.
Previous hospitality or events experience would be an advantage, but a great attitude, willingness to learn and commitment to providing excellent service are just as important.
