Senior Bar Attendant/Wine Sommelier
40 hours per week (5 days)
Seaton House, in partnership with the renowned Ondine, Edinburgh by Roy Brett, is redefining dining in St Andrews with our 5-star luxury hotel.
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Bar Attendant with experience in not just managing a Bar but overseeing memorable experiences! With a focus on delivering exceptional customer service, you'll ensure every guest enjoys their time with us, all while supporting and guiding our team. This role demands a leader who can maintain high standards of service and quality, inspired by Ondine’s celebrated reputation in Edinburgh.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the Team: Oversee and support the bar staff in their duties, ensuring smooth operations and exceptional service throughout each shift.
Crafting Delight: Serve and supervise the preparation of a delightful mix of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, ensuring compliance with hotel policy and liquor licensing laws.
Service Excellence: Ensure excellent customer service at all times, creating a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for our guests.
Spotless Setup: Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the Bar and dining areas, adhering to health and safety standards.
Stock Management: Rotate, display, and manage bar stock to guarantee all products are served in top-notch condition.
Transaction Savvy: Oversee cash, credit cards, and guest accounts, following company procedures with precision.
Event Support: Assist in the coordination and execution of events and special functions to deliver a seamless guest experience.
Team Player: Support the Food and Beverage department as needed, whether it’s assisting with table service, food preparation, or helping train team members.
Desired Skills and Education:
Previous experience in a similar supervisory role within hospitality is desirable, though not essential.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead by example.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple tasks.
Attention to detail, ensuring high standards are maintained at all times.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
