AC by Marriott Salford Quays is a stylish, design-led hotel in a vibrant waterfront location. We’re now looking for a Sales & Marketing Manager to drive revenue, build strong partnerships, and raise the hotel’s profile locally and nationally.
This is a hands-on, commercially focused role for someone who enjoys being out in the market, building relationships, and turning opportunity into results. You’ll work closely with the General Manager, Revenue team, and Area Sales Director to grow performance across corporate, meetings & events, and social business.
What this role is really about
You’ll take ownership of the hotel’s sales and marketing activity, balancing strategic planning with proactive selling.
In practice, you’ll:
Develop and deliver a clear sales and marketing plan aligned to the hotel’s commercial objectives
Drive revenue growth across corporate, meetings & events, and social banqueting segments
Retain and grow existing accounts while actively securing new local and national business
Work closely with Revenue, the General Manager, and Area Sales Director to maximise performance
Research the local market and competitor set to identify opportunities and respond to trends
Build and manage strong relationships with key accounts, brand partners, and local stakeholders
Represent the hotel at networking events, showcases, and business forums
Embed a sales-focused culture within the hotel, engaging teams to support commercial success
This is a visible role with real influence — ideal for someone who enjoys autonomy, accountability, and being trusted to get results.
Marketing & digital focus
Alongside sales activity, you’ll also:
Plan and deliver local marketing campaigns in partnership with Valor’s central marketing team
Manage the hotel’s local social media presence and activity
Ensure the hotel’s online content (brand. com and third-party sites) is accurate and compelling
Support CRM data capture and database management
Identify PR opportunities and local partnerships that enhance visibility and demand
About you
We’re looking for someone commercially minded, confident, and relationship-driven.
You’ll ideally bring:
Experience in hotel sales, marketing, or a commercial hospitality role
A strong understanding of corporate, meetings & events, and local business segments
Confidence building relationships and negotiating with clients
A proactive, target-driven mindset with strong organisational skills
Comfort using CRM systems (Salesforce), Microsoft Office, and digital platforms
A professional, personable approach that fits a premium hotel environment
