An extraordinary opportunity to lead a world-class hotel at the heart of Manchester’s Etihad Campus, home to Manchester City Football Club. This brand-new 401-key hotel is set to be a game-changer in hospitality, seamlessly integrating with one of the most prestigious entertainment and sporting destinations globally.
The next evolution of the Etihad Campus will see it become a thriving sports and entertainment district, featuring state-of-the-art training facilities, a world class 60,000 seater stadium, and vibrant leisure spaces including the Co-op Live arena. It will become a world-class hub for elite sport, music, and entertainment, attracting visitors from around the world.
The new hotel will be at the centre of this dynamic environment, providing an exceptional place for guests, teams, and fans to stay and experience everything the campus has to offer.
We’re looking for an experienced Operations Manager to be the driving force behind day-to-day hotel operations at The Medlock. Reporting to the General Manager, you’ll take full ownership of delivering consistent, high-quality service across all operational departments, with a particular focus on Front of House, and Guest Experience.
You'll help build and lead a passionate team, embed operational excellence, and ensure the hotel opens and operates to brand standards, while smashing budgeted targets.
This is a hands-on, people-first leadership role, ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and loves developing others.

- Proven hotel leadership experience – ideally in branded hotels, large properties, or entertainment destinations.
- Pre-opening and operational expertise – experience in launching or repositioning hotels is essential.
- Stakeholder management skills – comfortable collaborating with multiple business units.
- Passion for excellence – an inspiring leader who thrives on delivering world-class guest experiences whilst developing and leading large teams.
