Valor Hospitality is seeking a Groups Manager to join our team and play a pivotal role in maximising occupancy, enhancing guest experiences, and ensuring seamless event execution.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver outstanding customer service, ensuring a professional and welcoming experience for all clients.
- Maximise room sales by managing group bookings in line with hotel business plans to achieve occupancy, rate, and revenue targets.
- Handle all aspects of group reservations, including correspondence checks, booking management in Delphi and Opera, and adherence to company credit policies.
- Work closely with the Events Team to manage rooming lists and payments for event-related group bookings.
- Monitor Group Washdown through effective recording and reporting to the Commercial Manager.
- Convert enquiries into confirmed business through excellent sales techniques and client relationship management.
- Stay informed about local events and conferences to capitalise on business opportunities.
- Conduct competitor analysis and visit rival hotels to gather insights on market positioning.
- Assist in revenue management, including pricing strategies, overbooking levels, and demand forecasting.
- Collaborate with the Sales and Conference & Events teams to drive new business and enhance revenue opportunities.
- Ensure accurate system operations in Opera and Delphi to maintain robust business records.
- Assist in training and developing team members to enhance performance and customer service standards.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in reservations, events management, or revenue management within the hospitality industry.
- Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to convert enquiries into sales.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organisational and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of revenue management principles, pricing strategies, and competitor analysis.
- Proficiency in Opera, Delphi, and other reservation systems.
- A commercially aware mindset with an understanding of total revenue and business forecasting.
- Ability to lead, inspire, and collaborate effectively within a team environment
