Valor Hospitality, a globally recognized leader in hospitality, is seeking a Capex Assistant to help manage capital expenditures across our hotel portfolio. This is your opportunity to play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of our Capex operations while working with multiple teams across finance, procurement, and project management.
Your Role
As a Capex Assistant, you’ll support the Capex Controller in managing the day-to-day activities of the department. From monitoring purchase orders and processing invoices to maintaining asset records, you’ll ensure efficiency and accuracy in all Capex-related activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the Capex mailbox, responding promptly to queries, payment requests, and project codes.
- Maintain and update the project code master list for tracking open and closed projects.
- Organize and file Capex documents for easy access and future reference.
- Ensure Capex approval and disposal forms are accurate and comply with internal policies.
- Oversee Capex purchase orders, ensuring they are released, receipted, and cleared on Epsys.
- Process Capex invoices in the SUN system, matching them with relevant project codes and documentation.
- Maintain accurate Fixed Asset Register (FAR) records, tracking asset details like codes, serial numbers, and locations.
- Reconcile the general ledger with the FAR and address discrepancies.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless Capex operations.
- Provide administrative support to the Capex Controller, including cost analysis, depreciation calculations, and special requests.
What You’ll Bring
- Experience in a Finance Assistant or Accounts Payable role (Capex experience is a plus).
- Familiarity with the SUN accounting system is desirable.
- Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple workflows.
- A keen eye for detail and the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
